About the Author:

Colleen Fritz Budniewski is a proud wife and mother of three who resides in the Buffalo area. She has spent the better part of her parenting journey educating those around her about the LGBTQIA+ youth community and equipping her children with as much self-confidence as possible. She feels all children are equals, no matter their ability, gender, age or sexual orientation. When she found a gap in support for parents of transgender youth in Western New York, she helped to co-found one in early 2022. Her motto is:

“No one can devalue you, if you know your own worth.”

About the Illustrator:

Introducing Nick Napierala, a versatile illustrator whose artistic style combines his love of painting into captivating digital illustrations. Nick's passion for storytelling through symbolism shines through his artwork. As an accomplished artist and experienced art educator with 14 years of teaching, Nick's dedication to the world of art extends beyond illustration. Notably, Nick's talent for cookie decorating earned him a featured appearance on Food Network. His contributions to art education were recognized when Nick was awarded "Art Educator of the Year" in 2020. With a rich artistic background and an imaginative approach, Nick's illustrations transport young readers into enchanting worlds.
