Today’s blog is a special surprise for everyone! In May of 2018, we released our very first mission book; Elise Keeps Smiling. This book featured an amazing lady, Elise Hilton, and her mission about Melanoma. Today's blog is written by Elise's sister, Erin. Enjoy!
Her ESA doggy is a huge reason she has been able to gain the necessary energy to create and take this company to a whole new level. We even have Dr. Geronimo showing up in a series that Jessica wrote called Eloina Spelloina in her book that pays tribute to her father who passed away in 2014.
Many months ago we reached out on social media to find interns. One intern, in particular, stood out. Her cover letter was phenomenal, and her energy was awesome. Many students do not know just how much being yourself in an interview is needed to make a great impression, but Joelle did that and even asked Jessica her astrological sign. These two hit it off immediately, and Jessica is consistently impressed with Joelle's drive. We definitely know her future is filled with potentials and opportunities!
You might notice that there is one illustrator that stands out among the rest in our books. He is our most sought-after, and cherished illustrator and is also Jessica’s personal favorite tow work with. His name is Daniel Butler, and we are so excited to learn more about his side of the story!
She went to her advisor, Dr. Susan Keller-Mathers about the idea. Being that this was still only in her first semester, the graduate program professors had yet to learn just how committed she was to her education, and career. She came to her advisor with the idea to not only launch this business the following semester on January 1st but also to release four books during the semester at a frequency of one per month.
The thing you might not know is that when Jessica sets her sights on a goal, she can feel it, see it, and live in that goal way before it ever exists in real life. The second Jessica can see it in her head, it WILL join our reality in however long it takes to happen (usually not that long). In Today's blog, learn about how long it took to create our publishing company.
Imagine if a 9-year-old became a published author for their birthday. How much more could a child accomplish if we showed them the way instead of teaching them to say “when I grow up, I’m going to…” What could they imagine for themselves, and their life now that that limitation is deconstructed, and replaced with ambition, and permission to chase their dreams, goals, and ideas.
For the last 10 years of my life, I have suffered from chronic pain. It’s been this way so long that I can barely remember what my life was like before this; when I was... what? "Normal?" From the age of 20, I was told I would never work again in my life. Can you imagine that? A teenager, like so many before her that was so busy trying to find herself, that she lost herself in the meantime.
If you are just now hopping onto the ImagineWe train, the CEO’s story is one you might not have heard before. She has been featured in many newspapers, TV news, college news, and more over the last few years. With a very long, and sometimes tough road behind her, we’d love to share with you the amazing day the company was born!
Every day, I see my son transform and grow with unlimited opportunities, and potential. Every time he pushes himself or finds a new level of courage, I am so grateful to have made the hard choices, and be doing the work I am doing in our lives. Every achievement, and lesson he learns, show me it was all so worth it, and I can’t even express my appreciation and gratitude enough!
One of our favorite stories to share about the creation of an OG book from year 1! ImagineWe developed a Creative Problem Solving session with children on the Autism spectrum... The kids came to the workshop with energy, optimism, and innate creativity...Two hours it took to reconstruct their personalities into superheroes and we gave them each special powers. These powers made them the unique children that they knew and loved. They bonded over their issues, and they even threw a bully into the book so they could tackle that problem as well...
